Our winery tour of South Jersey concludes along the Southern Shore at Cape May Winery & Vineyard. You can enjoy daily indoor and outdoor tastings by the glass, flight, carafe or bottle, accompanied by offerings from their Tapas Kitchen. Next stop is in West Cape May at the Willow Creek Winery, open daily year-round for tastings, tours and tapas. To finish off the the tour, take the short drive up to Hawk Haven Vineyard & Winery located in Rio Grande.

Watch migratory birds head south for the winter

Throughout New Jersey, you’ll find a number of wilderness areas overflowing with coastal marshes, ponds and forested islands ideal for bird watching. During the fall months, spot migratory birds from a network of trails at Cape May Point State Park or make your way through vast trail systems that are home to over 360 species of birds at Edwin B. Forsythe Wildlife Refuge that covers over 48,000 acres from Oceanville in Atlantic County all the way up to Cedar Bonnet Island in Ocean County along the South Jersey coastline. Bird migrations are fascinating. Many migratory birds travel thousands of miles on their annual journeys. New Jersey’s location along the Atlantic Flyway gives us a ringside seat to the spectacular annual migration. The Atlantic Flyway is a major north-south migratory route that follows the Atlantic coast from Canada down to Central and South America.
